New light setup

Just put some new lights in my 6 bulb T5 fixture. I changed my combo up and I'm running 4 ATI blue plus, 1 GE 6500k, and a Fiji Purple. I'm really liking this combo hopefully some of coral that browned out, color up a bit. My old combo was 2 aquablue specials, 2 blue plus, 1 GE 6500k, and 1 UVL white actinic. I liked that combo, the tank was really bright white, but some corals did brown out a bit, including my green monti cap. So we'll see how this combo works.

Thanks man, the pic does not do it justice. For some reason the camera has problems with the blue tint. Makes it look way more bluer then it really is.

 

very nice picture. You would recommend the Blue +? and i read a lot of people always picking the Fiji Purple, why this one? You completely got rid of the Aquablue Specials, any reason? Sorry i have lots of questions about lights as I am going to switch here soon

 

Blue + has the best PAR out there in T5HO bulbs. It has very good actinic spectrum to make your corals pop. Aquablue Specials seem to cause colors to go a little flat. Fiji Purple makes your reds, pinks and purples really pop. If you don't want to spend as much on the Fiji a UVL Actinic White will function the same.
