Is this common when switching to LEDs from halides?

This didn't happen immediately. I've had the lights over the tank for 3 weeks now. Starting noticing the STN after 2 weeks. Not every coral is has STN, only 3 or 4 or showing symptoms.

I did notice that my salinity crept up to 1.030 (40 ppt), so perhaps that's part of the problem.

I started the lights at 30% and ran them for 4 hours a day. They are now running 6 hours a day at 35-40%.

I also tested and phosphate crept up to 0.13.

    Alkalinity is 3.2 meq/l

    Calcium is 380 ppm

    Magnesium is 1380

    Temperature is 78

I removed a lot of rock about 4-5 weeks ago and dropped my coral down considerably, trying to get that cleaner look. I think the sand stirring is the root of the elevated phosphate.

This is probably a result of many things, not just the lighting.

Alk. never budged. Salinity is likely the culprit. I adjusted it down to 1.026 (35 ppt) over two days. Things still ticked off.

Ya 1.030 is a little to high, I keep kind at 1.026 perfect spot imo.
