The Evolution LED's come with a 2 year warranty and that unit looks nothing like the Evolution except that it is a rectangle. Yes I sell them but i'm stating the difference.

The new ReefTech LED Promethius lamps are very nice. ReefTech is a new company formed by the former PacificSunUsa group. A lot of effort was put into making these lights. They're not exactly cheap though. They're starting off at 1099 per unit. You can read more about them at reeftechled.com. The feature list is pretty sweet though.

Your right, they are different, at first glance, the specs and shape of the housing and fas fooled me. The Reef-smart also looks like it has a 2 year warranty. It looks like the reef-smart uses 2W, not 1W leds though. Who knows how it performs, I haven't heard anything about it... You could test it for us j/k ;D

The only thing that seems to be criticized in this review is the noise of the fans and small heatsink. The fans will rid them of most heat right? And if they get clogged they have a 2 year warranty...The noise I can deal with
