I haven't had time to do that yet. Very busy weekend, and I am honestly a little nervous because that is the only filter I have for my tank and I don't have the money to replace it just yet if it were to stop working as well.

I'm hoping that with my next check to get a new filter all together. I saw that fluval make a HOB now that looks really good. I would love to get a canister filter though, just a little pricey is all.

Which brings up a good question, which or what kind of filter would be good for a 16 gallon bow front tank?

:) I got everything working right! I swapped the two impellers out to make sure it wasn't the motor and everything worked right. Then I noticed that the whole assembly wouldn't spin on the medal shaft freely like the good one was, so I worked it loose and cleaned it real good. It took me about 10 minutes, but now it works like new again.

Thank you all for all of your great advice.

    New Issue

Whole new issue now. One of my filters is close to overflowing. It drained almost 3 gallons of water onto my carpet last night before I walked back into the room. I used it to my benefit of course and did some tank maintenance.

I have two of the aquaclear 50's on my tank. I use one for filtration and one for more a fuge. The one for the fuge has my GAC in it, and it is the one that caused me all the problems last night. Is there a good way to make sure this doesn't happen again? I've seen a HOB filter do this in the 15 years the I've had aquariums.
