I have a 60 acrillic puffer tank and an empty 55gallon will just a comon salt water crab. I use this tank for my salt mixture tank. works great lol. it have a fluval caniter on it 6 power heads a heater. and a lil rock. always nice for new fish to watch them too. I also have a 30 gallon sick tank. it also has a canister filter . heater, protien skimmer , power head , and back hang one filter,. I am in the process of building a 25 gallon acrillic lego stand and hood. fiiltration on that tank is a fluval canister hang on protien skimmer, inline heater, small power head, all my tanks have hang on protien skimmers. to each thier own. on my 65 show I use hang on filters for water flo, i have and oceanic filter on that tank. on my swim tank I use a huge canister filter, inline heater, UV satitizer, hang on protien skimmer,. for cooling they are in a room that has 4 window ac units.

Sounds good. Do you have a dsb(deep sand bed)? Your Sand Sifting Star requires a deep sand bed of atleast 4" to forage for food as most of their life is spent in your sand bed. Without a deep bed, survival will look bleek, due to starvation. Also do you have a fine sand bed or course? Fine sand(sugar) is ideal for them. Best of luck to you and your new set-up. Any questions, feel free to post on 3reef-someone will be able to help ya!!!!!!!!
