Looks like a good unit. Congrats on the upgrade. One word of caution, though... you might need to acclimate your corals to the new lighting.

Yup thats the main reason i picked up the dimmable ballast so i can slowly turn it up, and reduce the time they run

Kind of a dumb question here, how should i mount my light? It about 11lbs.. Isnt that a bit much for a ceiling? I was thinking of doing a shepards hook deal, but bc i built my stand bigger, it wouldnt be center on my tank... Help!

11lbs should be okay just find a stud above your tank and run a hook in there and you should be good. Some plants weigh more then 11lbs lol

Thats actually what i was just thinking, im considering picking up the hollow drywall bracket that screws onto the end, and opens up once through the hole, it holds up to 45lbs, id rather be safe then sorry, 400w in my tank would be a ton of voltage if it fell in lol, what would be the easiest way to find the center of my tank from the ceiling? or should i just measure from the wall out? to the center of my tank

If you dont have a attic then you will need a stud finder or you can do it the old fashon way and tap on the wall when it sounds solid run your screw in to make sure and then your hook. Most of the time not always rafters are 16" center to center.
