New Fish problem

Im just starting a 20 gal saltwater fish tank and I just got 3 damsel fish today and 2 of them seem to be fine but the third one just stays in the corner for the most part... I meen he moves to stay with the 2 other ones but other then that he almost seems blind or somthing.. I tried putting some food in and he just swims right by it wile the other 2 are munching away.. Idk what the problem is. Should I return him, Does he sim sick? or IS he blind? THANKS Jace

 

lol if he was blind he wouldn't have made it this far. He could be being picked on by the other two damsels - very likely with multiple damsels. Keep an eye on him, it sounds like he's sick or extremely stressed.

 

What are good indicators that I should look for.. To know if i should bring him back to the store?

 

If you can just bring him back to be on the safe side. damsals are a dime a dozen so they should exchange no problem

 

Ok problem got worse now.. Its still alive but its laying on its side down at the bottom... Like its breathing really fast and flipping its fins and everything.. what should i do? sry if this question sounds harsh but should I kill him and end his pain or is there somthing i can give him... Please i need some answers!! thanks

he wont be for long if hes on its side and breathing heavily. you can put him in a zip loc bag and freeze it if youd like. (with water) is would be the most humane way.

 

freeze him? you meen put him in a bag then throw him in my freezer? I dont see the process in that being humane...

 

ya do it with some water in the bag
