I am not sure why the top is not like the middle...it might have had another cap that was fragged from that in the middle but there does not look like there is any life on it. Does the middle appear to be slimy? It doesnt appear to be nudis...so I am thinking it might be some fungus or something?

I cant tell you for sure if it will spread or not but I think it is best to frag it off...esp if it is a fungus.

Now you will see lighter edges as this thing grows, will not be white but a lot lighter then the normal one...so just be aware of that You have growth all around the edges (other then that white piece).

Since you have PC lights move it up to the top part of your tank and get flow on it. Monti needs high light so the closer to your lights the better and the flow will help with nice growth patterns.

But again, I would frag it off. Take a look at the COTM that I did...I want to update it because it really is not accurate...but you can see what happeed to one of my montis that had nudis on it...plus there is some info on it that you will need.

    Thanks schackmel.
I will look into it. I will frag it when i get a chance.

The edges are a little lighter. I was worried that this meant it was dying. So I guess it is continuing to grow. I will frag that small piece off when i get a chance either today or tomorrow.

    Thanks!
