Just picked up a few new corals from a local wanting to rehome several recent frags. Think I got a pretty good deal on them, $180 for the lot, and no shipping!

These are his WYSIWYG pics, I will get my own pics when they're acclimated (still in the dripping bucket, I have an hour or so to kill)

    1. Acan Lordhowensis, supposedly a fairly rare colormorph, pastel purple and yellow.

    2. Chalice - nice blue eyes and purple flesh under his light, can't wait to see it under mine.

    3. a few green Florida Ricordia's I haven't seen this color around here before so I snatched them up. I need some blue ones now.

He had a few Ricordia Yumas and a large colony of Ricordia Haiti I wanted, never even heard of them, they all had 2 or 3 mouths, one has 4 mouths on a single polyp - and they're not undergoing any kind of fission, he said they're just like that.. maybe they split really slow?

    4. Moseleya Latistellata - know very little about this one, am working on learning more now.

Very nice adds! Divers den has some info on #4 on their corals when they put those up... I was gonna try one at one point but changed my mind!

ok got them in the tank.

The green ricordia is amazing, brightest green I've seen in a coral, and i have a lot of green in my corals!

The moseleya is a slime factory. I chipped one of the smaller polyps on the edge against the rock as I was trying to set it up under a ledge a ways. The polyp is as retracted as the rest are, seems ok in that regard, I just hope i didn't kill that head.

The acan is closed up and oozing... I don't know if I should worry tonight or not. It's not expelling zooxanthellae, just more slime than i thought they normally make when stressed...

Oh but that Chalice... wow. metallic purple in my light.... can't wait to get pics when it's all plumped up.

and my friggin' female A. Occellaris keeps trying to kill me. Anyone want one maladjusted clown fish and her whipped little buddy? (kidding, I love my clowns, but she thinks I'm food...wth)

The other three I knew what I was getting and did some research on placement and such... that one was there when I got to his place and I asked about it and said it was available. I've never seen it at the LFS's or on any of the sites i frequent...tho going back I did find one or two sold examples on WYSIWYG pages... for the price I had to have it. It's sort of a giant open brain. A search turns up little in the way of hobbyist information, mostly just marine biology sites. It was only $45, which the other sites I've found they range up to $200 for a similar frag. Hope the guy's cool with his prices, he probably could have doubled up. (a couple sites had them for less tho... *shrug* I'll never fully understand coral pricing)

More pics to come over the next few days.

Very nice corals, the acan looks really nice. The last one from what I know is a pretty rare coral, so nice pick up.
