New Corals. Few Questions?

Thanks Steve but I really don't think it's gonna make it. Especially with the ammonia spike I got this evening, lots of slime production, piece of it actually broke off and a slightly putrid smell.

Yep I initially thought that something was attacking it and eating it. So I fragged out that piece, and I think that doing so may have caused the coral to stress out. I don't know why I did that. I Panicked I guess. My gf suggested the logos dip. I will see if I can do that tomorrow.

I separated the stems in the hope that the dead tissue doesn't spread. I hope at least one stem survives.
