You mean hanging them at 2 feet above the tank? how large of an area? I would go 60s, maybe 90s.

Yes, they are run at 650ma max, 50ma below the max power to add life to the diodes, at 700ma they will not last nearly as long.

Yeah, hanging room is at most 2 feet up, and 2 feet of water.....

And I think I edited after you replied, but I was wondering if there's any warranty.....

It comes with a 2 year USA warranty. I think you will want 60 degrees. Is it a 24" square area?

I have a pre production version of this light, and I can say for certain that it is awesome. The price is also very reasonable, and I love being able to change the light at will from across the room. The moonlights also dim down to 1%, making them actually usable.

I even took PAR readings to compare it to my DIY Cree 180w light. Obviously the Cree is stronger, but these are surprisingly strong as well. I have my own custom ratio using neutral and warm whites, violets, cyan, and soon reds as a test.

I dont mean to sound stupid, but what does "48 data points" mean? I was going to pick up the $199 version, but not sure now. Is the controller really worth it?

Yes, if you want a sunrise effect and built in timing, it is well worth it. By 48 data points, it means that you can program every half hour individually.
