Well today beat the crap out of my knees installing new carpet in the living room. Oh man my knees hurt, guess I'm getting to old for this type [____]. Also painted the walls and ceiling! You see, what happened was I started talking to girlfriend about getting a tank soon, and she said I should do the floor first. Well now that thats done I can now get the tank and start gathering equipment. Yee-Haw :) I think I am going to be getting a 50 breeder tank. Can't wait I am so excited I thought I would share the news!

I love breeder tanks. Really awesome depth! Trust me, now you can soothe your physical and emotional pain in front of a bundle of living $ ;)

Good trade, but dont settle for the 50, get a 75 or a 90 or maybe even a 100g.;D

I would love to go with the 75, but I just do not have enough space for it. I have a small two bedroom place, and there is just not a whole lot of space left after a bedroom set in one room, and two computer desks in the other room along with a dresser and some snake cages... In the living room I have a space that will accept a 36 inch long tank. So you see my situation... Hmm wonder if there is a tank that is like the 50 breeder footprint but a little bit higher? 60-65 gal. maybe?

You can get a custom tank built to any size you want... don't know what the damage would be to the pocket book though! Reef guru has a link to a place that builds custom tanks if you would want to look into it.

Thanks for the tip! But I need to balance where the money is spent, so I will most likely get a ready made tank.

Sorry for the slip. The 50 gal. breeder is 36 inches long instead of 48, and is 18 inches deep instead of 12, and I believe it is 19 inches tall. A pretty cool tank for the space I have. I think it would be nice for it to be a couple of inches taller, but I'm sure it will still be very nice.
