I just bought a pair of new coralvue 14k bulbs. To me they look much bluer then expected. Do they 'whiten' after a few days or should I expect them to stay this blue?
The bulbs that came with my setup seem to be 10k and I almost like the look of them better! : (

I'm not real knowledgeable about spectrums but blue bulbs typically don't whiten up ime

For some reason I thought they call it
burn in time or something like that where they brighten up after a few days?

Never heard of that before. When I ran T-5s the color i got was the color they stayed, although they loose intensity over about 6 months or so.

They seem to have crispt up a bit since they were first running about 2 or 3 hours ago

You should "ramp up" the length of time you run then bulbs over a couple wks before they get to the normal schedule.
