Just added my first anemone to my tank 3 days ago. He's just been floating around on the sand, on his side. He hasn't attached his foot to anything and my clown fish haven't taken to him. Not overly worried, but just wanted to get some feedback from those experienced with them.

Here are a few pics to give you an idea what he's looking like right now.

Mine did that to, I moved a power head to reduce the flow to keep him from being bounced around. Once he attached I put the power head back. Everyones happy.

I put mine with his foot on a rock, and put a piece of small rock in front of it to stop it from floating around. He attached within an hour and then removed the small rock. Hope this helps!

Ok, I found I nice place for him on the rock. I place a small rock there to keep him from floating around. He actually looks really healthy. I just hope he sticks with his foot tonight. If so, I'll move the other rock. Otherwise, I guess I'll just let him float around. He should find a home on his own I suppose.

Hey never did attach. After I moved the rock, he moved. However, he has found a place in the sand next to the live rock and he seems to be happy there. I read that moving them around a lot can be harmful, and that you should really just let them move around on there own. I'm just monitoring him, but like I said, even though hes just sitting on the sand, he seems to be happy. I think I let my expectations of him attaching to one of my rocks get in the way. I'm happy if he's happy. Thanks for the tips though.
