sorry for the delay i have been on our two week AT (annual training) for the national guard. i just got back yesterday. so i havent been to busy with the tank, and my 75gal tank that my friend was taking care of was a disaster. tons of alge and i sprung a leek in my sump so its been a head ache ever since i got home. i will be starting back on it this week though. i have to finish the framing the wall and then put the stand together and set the tank up so.... none the less tons still to do. thanks all for tagging along

just read the last two pages and was gonna warn you about getting something more substantial than that sump or it would crack and leak. Best of luck to you. can't wait to see more progress on it.

sorry still nothing new. waiting for my friend to come over so i can fishing framing the wall so i can set the tank and stand in there. just had a couple of questions on my closed loop. i know i could use the ocean motion 8 way but do you think it would be ok to just have the water flowing out all 8 at once all the time with out the OM? what do you guys think

The folks at Oceans Motions actually suggested that 2 OM4 were better than 1 OM8. Among other things, this would let you run smaller pumps and if anything happened to one of them you would only loose half the flow on your tank while you got things fixed. If you suze your OM4 pumps sthe same as your DT return pump, then you could keep 1 spare pump on hand that could be swapped in for any of the 3 in an emergency.

well i have one pump that is a 7500 gph which i was going to use for that and then i have a 6500gph which i was going to use for the return pump or the DT would one 7500gph and another 7500gph be to much for the CL OM4's?
