That thing is sexy! I wonder if best buy sells those. Don't have a C.C. so ordering offline is sometimes difficult.

Found this at www.bestbuy.com and I wonder how it would do in a closed environment with saltwater and high humidity::

Hey so I have been running my Fuge with the same overflow for a few days now and I'm having the exact opposite results. My 100 watt heater is set at 81 and can barely keep my water at 76.5!!! Did you every fix your heat issue?

I fixed my heat issue by removing my heater lol.

I guess my pump is running hot or something but my tank has been between 79-80 now for about 2 weeks solid w/ no heater and running my fuge lights for 12hrs at night, with poor ventilation. I just have to keep the cabinet doors open and it keeps my tank nice and right.

Not sure but maybe the heater is not working? If it's set to 81 it should at least keep it higher, not sure why it'd be so low with your heater on MAX. I had to set my heater all the way to the lowest setting and it still was too hot, that's why I removed it completely.

I turned off my fans inside my stand, they were blowing 62 F air into the stand where the Fuge was. Now that fans are off everything is working very nicely. Looks like I'll be okay during the summer months. :)

You might want to get your heat issue fixed before summer. If you are at 81 in the winter season I can't imagine what it will be at during summer. Here is my fan setup, as you can see the work almost too well. [IMG]

Also here is my return pump, there is no heat transfer what do ever. I added a check valve and needed to downgrade to 1/2 hose from 3/4. It works well and nearly silent.

And here is the completed project. :)

What's all that cool stuff on your return pump?

It's a 3/4in all plastic check valve with 3/4 to 1/2in adapters topped off with a valve to control flow.

Why do you have a valve to control flow on the return? My hydror comes with a knob you can turn to close off flow - just not sure why not just turn off the pump? I really like the check valve, I'm going to Ace Hardware right now to see if I can't pick up this stuff too - looks neat and will help the water from flowing down into my pump when I turn it off.

I did that in case I need to service or add anything to my return pump. I can manually control the water and not worry about it flowing back.
