need surge protection or no?

    Grainger is very expensive. Normally about 15 bucks.

    after doing some research on gfci i was pretty dumb to not use one!
    that 20 bucks could have saved my life! thanks to everyone from 3 reef!

    +1 on the GFCI. Last week I was adjusting my lights and the fixture slipped into the water. My GFCI immediately cut all power to the tank. If it hadn't done that, I could have been electrocuted, or at least received a nasty shock. Do NOT run a tank with no GFCI.
