Yesterday i got some water and mixed it and the salinity was a little low(1.019) I did the water change and now its at 1.018 in the DT, i run it usually at 1.023 or so, I need help on how to raise it back up to a safer level.

I have been taking a half gallon pitcher and taking water and adding salt to about 1.038 or so and adding it to the tank. its still not going higher then 1.019. Need help if anyone can..thanks.

Time for a new hydrometer or better yet a refractometer.

you could just add saltwater to your top offs..that usually does it slow enough to be safe for the tank

    Have you re-calibrated the refractometer?

Always make sure your salinity is where you want it before doing the water change. That's much easier than trying to fix it in the tank.
