I currently have a Via Aqua 900 gph pump for circulation for a 125 with a 50 sump. I might be getting a new one (I think mine is a bit weak). Any suggestions (reasonably priced). I have about 6 ft head. Thanks for any advice.

Ocean Runner 3500 or Eheim 1262. The new Octopus series pumps are the same as the Ocean Runners at a much better price if I were to buy one today.

Quiet one 3000, or quiet one 4000 if you want the same amount of flow.

You probably can't buy a better pump for cheap. Fosters and smith has the 3000 on sale for around 40 bucks.

I have had two different Quiet Ones literally go up in flames, you could not give me one for free. I thought the first time it was a fluke but after the second one burnt up I am convinced they are junk. That plus I was able to sell my chiller now that I use better pumps with much less heat gain, stick you hand on a QO 4000 and see how hot they run.
