You have plenty of live rock. You will need to phase out your bio balls. Take a bit out every week.

A SWC EXtreme 160 would be good for your tank. Small foot print too, probably work real good for you. After that probably a Vertex In-180. Both are in the $270 range.

Bubble Magus are inexpensive. NAC&s perform well, but I think it is too small for your tank. Don't know much about the rest of their line.

It will be a little difficult getting to $200 on your size tank. Eshopps has some. But at around $200, you are getting bare bones. For under $300, you will get a good skimmer and a big improvement to how you are doing things now.

Also Adam.... if you are really on a budget, don't be afraid to buy used. I shop the classifieds on Reef Central... good forum, we can help you to see if it is a good deal. Craigs list in your area. Not everyone has tons of money to throw ata hobby. If you don't then you can save buying used, it just requires more home work.

Ya, that will be hit or miss. Google for any saltwater clubs in your area. There is one local to me and one in Denver. That is the best place to look.
