need help with skimmer

    I am a believer in skimming with systems bigger than 10g. I have a 10g without a skimmer and it's doing just fine. It is not necessary as long as you perform regular water changes and don't overfeed. I have to say though, that a skimmer will improve water quality and make life easier. Is it necessary to run a healthy and successful 10g reef tank? No, IMO. But it cannot hurt either.
