How big? Is it on a stand? Is it the manufacture stand?

It's going to be really hard to do if the tank is of any size. How long has it been like that?

Er, I was under the impression that octopii (octopuses?) need pretty big tanks (60+?) along with expert care and special filtration in case they release ink, and that biocubes topped out at 29 gallons...

Beyond that, it will definitely be a pain to shim it if it's the 29 gallon biocube. full of water, you're looking at ~200 pounds worth of water alone.

cut a piece of plywood to the same dimensions as the bottom of the stand. slide it under the stand, you now have a stable base to use for putting standard wood shims under the stand to level it as needed.

this is a 29biocube...he is still young ang we have a 55gallon set up for him when he begins to out grow it.filtration is upto par.and as for difficulty if u can keep an sps reef u can keep an octo no problem.the tank is about a yr old give or take.its never been level but i guess its settling a bit ...we have always had this issue but kept the water full to the brim and it was ok.im just tired of the CONSTANT top ups ...once a day i can do but 3-4 not so much lol.

thanks telgar ill get to cutting k+

Actually most of them can live in a 29. they only live a year or 2 tops in captivity. My lfs had one in a 15 breeder, kept it in there till the aquarium took it. Its in not much bigger of a tank now at the aquarium.

Many can live just fine in that small a tank. How did you modify the tank to hold it? I'd love to see pictures of this set-up if you get time.

we started out with a piece of plexi cut to make a lid inside a lid but i opted out of that for afew reasons. other then that just gutter guarded the intakes and outputs and built a wall up in the back, like a continuation of the existing wall that mated to the lid :) took about 5 hrs or so.. ill try to get pics when my new camera gets here :) ill pm u the link mikejrice...although he hasnt tried to get out, i think its a bordom thing. we always have toys for him and we usually feed live food wich i believe helps aswell. if any1 needs help with octo stuff feel free to pm me id love to assist :)
