Hello all! I've been brainstorming on how to make a cover for my 40gal breeder lately to contain any future jumpers! I have no fish yet, as my tank is cycling, but will be adding a firefish sooner or later. After some research, I learned they're notorious jumpers, so a cover is a must!! I have a cords from my powerheads and heater coming from the tank, as well as my HOB skimmer and my lights are clipped onto each side. So I definitely have to do a custom build. If anyone has built a cover themselves, and is willing to share their info with me I would REALLY appreciate it. Any pics of your custom cover would be awesome. Thanks guys! Happy reefing :)

I made a canopy since I was doing DIY lighting so no pics of a cover. Bulk Reef Supply has some clear screen material that you can use. A lot of folks use that.

A cover might look better if the tank is in the open, but this is what i use. I also have a uglier version made of egg crate. Mine is 6in high and i have never lost a fish but it could be built whatever height you want.
