ok. So i really need help like, seriously ASAP. I usually don't like posting here, but i figure i'll get fast response, other wise i would post in light section.

This is really important. I placed an order for my light fixture this morning and, my dad told me that reefgeek called and that they would like to know what bulbs i want. I haven't listend to the message yet. But i know NOTHING about bulbs. So that's why this is an ASAP, as i really need to call them back. I guess on the voicemail they say that they can give recomendations, but i want to make sure i get the right bulbs.

So what do i need to get? The light is a 4x39 T5 HO Tek Light. I would like to have a moonlight if possible, be able to grow sps down the line.

Sorry this is in the ASAP section, but i really need some quick answers here.

Without getting to fancy, to start with you can go with 2 daylight, and 2 antics. There are many other combos you can run, but those are more about personal preferences as to what look you want in the tank. If you want more blue add another antic, more crisp add more of the sunlights, etc... Hope this helps some

Let reefgeek make some recommendations for you. And I agree with the 2 daylight and 2 actinic. You will need to run them for a little bit and maybe experiment some to find out what your personal preference is.

I am a fan of the UVL Aquablues and Super Actinics.

so if i just say i want 2 daylight andd 2 actinic, that's all i would need to say, and they'll know what i mean. Or would they need more specific than that

The actinics (blue bulbs) will make your tank seem to look bluer. The daylights will give it more of a white look. My first tank had t5's and I went with the standard factory bulbs. Look in my photo gallery - there are 2 pictures of my old 75, one with just the actinics on and another one with all 4 lights on.

I agree, tell ReefGeek what kind of corals you have now(and in the future) so he can recommend something. I personaly would get 2 daylight and 2 actinics. I'm assuming(never had T5's) that T5 come in different K ratings(daylight) and the actinics as well.

Yes, they should know what you mean. They might ask for more specific, but just tell them this is your first light. They might ask you what you like, more or less blue....
