Need an ID please - Strange bubble things

    Added this piece of LR today. It has two odd bubble type things on it. Any ideas??

    Looks like algae bubbles.

    Do they get that big though? These suckers are bigger than peas. Almost marble sized.

    In that case, Im not sure anymore. I havent seen pea or marble size bubbles before. Now Im doubting myself.

    Yep bubble algae. just pick it out and bounce on the floor......lol.....i think certain shrimp eat them? Im not sure tho.....

    awwwww................14....................I can almost remember those days:hehe: Chasing after girls, getting into trouble, those where the days. Enjoy it while you can AB, the yrs FLY by, before you know it, you'll be walking in my shoes. LOL

    Yup, valonia (aka bubble algae). I've had some get as big as a golf ball. Emerald crabs will eat the small bubbles but the large bubbles will have to be removed gently. Take care not to pop the large bubbles when removing them or you'll release their spores into the water.
