I have. But, they are not the friendliest people to speak to. I was told by other technicians that they would recommend a 3/4" glass for my size tank. Or do a brace and keep it at 1/2".

Just got the diamond drill bits today and got the holes drilled. Silicone is 11 days into the curing process. I'm nervous b/c I can actually scrap the silicone clean off the glass with my fingernails with only moderate pressure. I talked to a dow corning rep about the 795 silicone and he states that although after 7 days it should show a pretty good adhesion but it may take the full 21 days. I'm still concern b/c the old silicone was so tough to remove. I guess just wait and see, but I have a feeling the adhesion may not be any better than it is today. Just don't know what went wrong. I cleaned the surface very well with a razor blade and alcohol and acetoned it 20 minutes prior to applying the silicone. Perhaps I did not rub the edges enough. Oh well. Only time will tell now. At least the holes look good.

Nice Job on the tank, looks damn near professional, h3ll it looks better that the so called professionals at glass cages.

I have a mainland 45 gallon Cube that I have to redo because someone decided to drill a tempered tank. So it now needs one panel replaced.

Nice thread too, although a nice Video of you cussing and swearing trying to get all the old silicone off might have been nice, LOL, and don't tell me you didn't cause I have done that to many tanks and I know that I did!

For what, they won't help, they told me and I quote, "we are in the business of selling new tanks not teaching people how to repair them"

What did you do for the brace, I don't see one in those last pictures, did you go without?
