my sump return pump is a genx pcx 40 (which is very very loud...) rated at 1190 GPH, with a 5ft head and a few other variables, im getting about 650 GPH back into my DT, which is 90 gallons, and i also have an old maxijet 1200, which is about 300 GPH give or take (thats what google said)

its a mixed reef tank, my fish never move unless its feeding time, i dont need to secure any pumps for feeding time, and i just dont think theres enough water movement, but new pumps are insaine expencive, and dont want to buy somthing if i dont need it.

so is this enough water movment, and if not my budget is about 250 for a new pump/pumps, what do you suggest? thank you all!

I suggest getting a nice submersible powerhead ,if you have one on each side of the tank creating a current that should be good enough

"A koralia 5 is a really big pump. they are way over powered for what they are supposed to be... Actually as powerful as a koralia 7:"

is that a good or bad thing?

i looked at the charts on the article (ill read it when i get to work haha) but i got the magnum 6, and its right on the money for 2200 gph, plus my return pump i should be right around 30x turn over
