Need advice on feeding and maint plan for my GF while im gone.

Has the tank been up for long enough to know what the average weekly/daily evap is? If so you can calc what you would need for 3 weeks and make sure you have enough on hand to not be making any emergency trips!!!

3 gallon is a good size so that she can lift it - good planning there.

And you can discuss with her the approx. amount of water she should expect to be replacing daily/every other day so that if she is suddenly adding a whole lot of water she knows there may be something up.

You could always do a three week "dry run" until you leave and have her take care of the tank while you are there so you can coach her. Who knows - you might even get some additional permanent help out of the deal!!!

 

I leave in a week so 3 week dry run wont work lol bad planning on my part. My tank has been running for little over a year now and i use about 5 gallons a week so a little less then a gallon a day. permanent help would be good but im sure the fish and coral dont want a extra set of hands in there all the time lol
