    Hi Everyone!
Just recently I decided to opt for getting a 60 gallon cube over the 45 gallon I was going to get. The sump that I ended up getting that would fit in my cabinet was the eshopps RS-75. The dimensions of the protein skimmer compartment is 7.5x9.5. I have only found 1 skimmer that would almost fit in that is the Skimz SM121 . I have no idea what skimmer to get. I just want the best possible that will fit in that compartment. Also, what return pump would I want for the 60 gallon? Thankyou!

    None of eshopps skimmers fit?

For a return it's really up to you. Some use sicce, jebao, danner mag, ehiem, or triton. All seem to be the more popular options. As far as gph, it depends on the capacity of your overflow/drain. I would aim for something in the 700-900gph range.

For your sized Aquarium the Skimz SM 121 is a solid choice. A skimmer is only as good as its pump for the most part. The K2 120 and Regal are nice but I have never owned either one and they are oversized for a 60 gallon tank. The Reef octos space savers are solid. All good skimmers ime.If money wasn't an issue I would probably go with the Skimz.

Are you kidding? You left out the AquaC skimmers. I vote for an EV120. I have owned venturi skimmers for 15 years. I got my first AquaC (a remora) as a hang on and saw the extreme benefits to this style right away. I now run an EV120 on my 60 gallon and love it. Doubt I'll ever got back to venturi driven skimmers. My 2 cents.
