Me and my husband are looking at "sun blaze" brand of T5 HO lights and I cant find any reviews on the actual product, just good customer service and fast shipping blablabla. Just wondering if anyone has these lights or heard of them and if they ever had any problems with them. Here is one of the links i found them on if anyone needs to see them. I have also found them on some sites that sell them for growing plants.

Sun Blaze is the product; the brand is Sunlight Supply, which is better known for its TEK aquarium fixtures. TEK fixtures are excellent. I think the Sun Blaze line is used more horticulture applications for the most part. Be interested to see what you think of it when you get it.

well we got the light today. they look great. except its too wide for the tank. freakin ebay seller listed it as being 12" wide and its definitely 18" wide. luckily we have a 75 gallon tank we need to set up that it would fit perfectly over. the tank we got it for was a 55 gallon which is only 13" wide. lol oh well

My only concern are the reflectors and the fact that there is no protective cover. Are there individual reflectors or one big one? While T5 bulbs don't get nearly as hot as MH bulbs, they still do get fairly hot, make sure the water can't splash on the bulbs.

The lights have individual reflectors. My husband said he will get a shield to put on it to prevent any splashing getting on the lights. He contacted them and they just sent the wrong model, and will send us the right size so that's good that we're not stuck with this one.

Well we finally got the light, except its a completely different light. I dont know the brand of it but here is a link to the exact one on ebay. So far it looks good. Came with mounting legs [the other one didn't] and has blue LEDs on it too. They told us not to send the bulbs back that came with the other light that was too big, and they sent this one with bulbs already in it, so we have 6 extra bulbs now lol. It has 3 actinic 460 and 3 10K bulbs in it. The LEDs have a dimmer on them, that's pretty cool. We might exchange those out for red ones later on. Does anyone else have this light out of curiosity?

For 299 why not get something like the nova extream or the sundial? you can get the 48 in model for about that and they are a commor light that has been proven you dont need to jerry rig a splash guard and has built in timers as well as moon light leds. I personally dont know why they are not giving you the specs of the light?
