I have 2 sand sifting stars...they do a great job.....dont think the trigger would mess with them...they are under the sand most of the time...but I'm not knowing for sure.
    Good luck.

I like sandsifting stars as well.

Also nassarius vibex snails are good sandsifters and neat. As soon as they smell food they pop up out of the sand.

With triggers you are kind of doomed to no inverts, however, you could try a Nassarius snail, the trigger may never find it. The trick is to get it in the tank, perhaps at feeding time when the triggers are distracted.

JUst me thinking here... Nassarius snail i think will become dinner... Pending the temperment of your triggers.. just as soon as they see waving trunks... they may get niped at...

Heres Just a Idea.. and it's a horse shoe crabb.. more like a sand plow versus and sifter.. Only thing here is like every other invert it still may become dinner.. THe horse shoe crabbs i have had only came out at night and did there deed.. How i could tell was lil plow marks in the sand...

Keep in mind just my 2 cents...

    Best of Luck...
