I purchased a decent sized Naso tang last year and he has gotten bigger. Now it spends a lot of time lying around is this normal for that species of fish. When I go feed them he jumps up to eat no visual signs of ich or any other diseases. Temp is at 78-80 on the regular. 0ppm Nitrites and ammonia, PH is balanced.

The fish seems depressed, sounds like it needs some Prozac and a psychologist;D

What exactly do you mean by "lying around?"

It would just lay on the bottom of the tank until I went to feed them. It has since died and went to fishy heaven.

    Well that didn't take long.

    Sounds bacterial. Did he float?

No he didn't float was on the bottom of the tank. There was a cut by his tail fin that looks like it exploded.

It was weird I think it got stuck under a rock or something. He was fine one day the next day I seen a loss of appetite then a few days later he was gone. All in a weeks time at the max. Tested the water all was fine. Not sure what got him. The same thing happened with my puffer a month ago the puffer lasted longer though.
