I purchased a naso about two weeks back it's very active very thick fish. It eats nori from the clip well. I feed two veg clips
Of half sheet of nori a day and all is gone in less than hour. The naso has a dent in it's stomach on both sides I didn't take notice of due to it being new. Well it's been eating well and I noticed today before I began feeding it's stomach was extra "sucked" in... Could this be lack of nutrition? Do I need to feed it more? It shows no real signs of stress and looks very healthy besides the sunken stomach. All other fish are fat n growing to the point I was even thinking of decreasing feeding.

Sounds like he/she may not be getting enough to eat. Do you actually see it eating? Any chance of putting it in QT. Usually a pinched stomach is a sign of starvation however it could be something internal also.

How much have you been feeding? Just the nori? How big is your tank? What other fish are in the tank?

you might try some different nori. there could be something wrong with your batch.

Tank is 100 gallons; 220 build will be ready early next year for his future home. I fed nori, myis, brine and blood worms. But he doesn't touch it yet just eats the nori as soon as I put it in he rushes to it and eats chunks. Other fish are two blue damsels, 3" yellow belly hippo, and six line wrasse.

Also I get my nori from sushi place by home due to it being drastically cheaper & selcon will be here Friday (just ordered).

Should I up the feeding? Other fish are nice and fat already

well it takes about 3 weeks after you start feeding them like pigs for them to start packing on the fat.
Mine was a little pinched at first but ever since his 4th week he has just been getting pudgier and pudgier. You could try to feed him formula two... its a "veggie" form of the common flake or pellet foods.

After feeding him today his stomach looks normal again I guess he was starving. Thanks for the advice I guess I was a little over worried and want him healthy.

I guess I should start putting in the nori in the morning and once before lights out and see how that goes.

spreading out the feedings is a good plan
