I kept one in a reef a long time ago before I read/heard about them being a problem. Never had any problems with it. I still took it out and give a heads up to others though. Wouldn't ever put one in a reef again. Most places you read tend to be pretty ademate about them being a bad idea.

nori is twice as much higher in protein than brocolli.

It actually came with the tank.. it was the last living thing when the previous owner broke everything down.. he threw him in a sand bucket with a bit of water and let his kids play with it for a few hours.. and somehow it survived.. but it hasn't ever left the sand..

Although.. after going to the LFS with the lady today.. I ended up bringing home a Blue Linckia and a Fire shrimp.. and the Linckia hasn't touched the sand since I placed him in the tank.. So i'm kind of waiting for some upset leathers or shrooms in the tank as this thing climbs over them.

So the Naso ended up being an orange shoulder.. and I think I'm going to pick him up tmrw or Monday.. its fairly large and they're having a sale... it will still be the most expensive fish in the tank.. LFS wants 289 with 10 percent off.. its about 10" allready.. so I'm not too worried about the other tangs picking on him :D

    wish me luck!

yah its huge.. i'll take a lot of pics after its acclimated.. have a lot of undocumented life in there now.. Instead of calling to let them know I want it i'm kind of relying on the fact that its a silly expensive fish and they'll just have it still.. so cross your fingers for me sostoudt

I would wait and get a smaller one so you can have him for years and watch em grow. But it's your decision. Think there might be an impatience problem you need to work through. :)

I bought a pound of it last time. It last forever in the fridge, you'd be suprised. And dont cook it, just rinse it off and give it to them raw. They'll eat the whole thing too, not just the tips. My tangs, clowns, blenny, hermits, and snails all love it

Impatience due to me wanting one particular fish.. nah you're kind of reading the situation wrong.. I dont need a large fish in the tank.. I'm just kind of attached to a particular one at the LFS.. been checking him out for 2 weeks now.. (thinking he was a naso) Wasn't really ever considering a fish at that price so i never even bothered to research it and find out it wasn't a naso..

Every other fish in this tank, and the 2 other tanks i've had in the past has been very young when purchased.. in fact its becoming my favorite part of the hobby to watch juvenile fish grow up.. so this is kind of different for me to buy such a large specimen.. but i'll work on the impatience thing ;)
