I will be setting up a 75 gal tank in a couple weeks and it will house two clowns a goby and what do you think of a Naso Blonde Tang. I know it says 180 gal but how fast do they grow? Are we talking if you start with a 3 inch fish three months later 7 - 10 or are we talking over a year. Thanks in advance.

    Dont get it.

    Simple and plain.

Even if it's small now - there is not enough swimming room even in a 75 with only water - let alone equipment, sand, rock and coral.

It is very likely to get sick and infect the other fish.

They are very pretty fish and very personable but need plenty of room to swim to stay healthy.

One of the hardest parts of the hobby - is saying "no" when you want to say "yes" - but patience and discipline really pay off.

If you ever get a large tank I would recommend getting one as they are very personable fish. Mine would follow me everywhere and eat out of my hands. KOgle has my female now and he lost my male but at least I can still go over to his house and see her. :)

A yellow eyed Kole tang is another pretty tang that could do ok in a 75g if you get it as a juvenile.

Even a 125 is a little small to be honest.

The kole tang and tomini tangs are great choices for mid-sized tanks. I have a tomini in my 120 and he is a happy, personable fish. It's been great watching it mature and change it's coloration/patterning.
