I do not understand this statement. and do not believe it is true. Having a larger sump increases the water volume which increases the stability of the system. it allows for greater stability in temp, PH, CA and all elements in a system.

If you are to look at a lot of larger systems you will find a great deal of them have larger sumps than the display.
I have several friends with 250G display 500G sump. 500G Display 600G sump.

I have to agree. That was a hurried analogy, and not too well thought out. Now that you mention it, a larger sump than the display would do lots of good. It sure would make for a headache-free nano. ;)

I dont know in what way you are talking to me, but I will tell you this, If I can help someone from making a mistake or save them some money, I will. We all know that this hobby is very expensive, so if anyone can save some money, why not? I understand what you are saying about skimming and agree, but why spend hundreds of dollars when you can get the same results at a fraction of the cost. I disagree with you on the sump being bigger than the DT, Jason makes a great point. Cheers Luna

Luna, I was joking! I consider you a friend. If we were face to face I'd say something like, "You know me better than that. .. " but I guess it's easy to mistake the intention of a statement when it's on the internet.

I'd never disrespect you or anyone else in that way. It's not how I am.
