    I took my nano apart.
I saved all the water, and rocks
The only change I made was, I got rid of the crushed coral, now I have new fine white sand, and I painted the back of the tank blue.

I went to look at my tank with a flashlight, and it looked like one of my blue leg hermits was having a seizure, then I saw hundreds of small wiggly things floating around my tank. So I think my hermit was spawning.

Ok, just registered after reading many topics to see what would be best for my tank. I saw this thread and decided to dive in. I've had my 12 gallon since 98. It has been fresh for 2 years and salt there after. I tried many things to get a good setup and nothing as good as now (constantly upgrading). It used to be a eclipse with the filter, light and hood in one. Did alright for a while as a fish only but I want a reef. Can you blame me. A year ago I ditched the hood and added a penguin 150, a current usa orbit 65w, and a fisson micro skimmer. Skimmer sucks! the tank went on for a while and i moved due to a home sale and let the tank go. I now am up and running with new sand, liverock and critters. I need some good advise on filtration. I beleve this is the place for it so....

In my tank I have this, to trap out partials in the water, and to run carbon Walmart.com: Aqua-Tech: 20-40 Gallons Power Filter, 1 ct: Fish.
And I made my own fuge. My tank has a 27x turnover. The key to a nano is to have a fuge full of mangroves, and macro algae,
If you want to know the details on how to build a fuge for a nano, just let me know. And I will try to help.
