I'm scared of anenomes. Everyone tells me that if they die they take the whole tank with them, also this guy was in LFS's DT for over a year and he had no anenome. He has a Percula friend which is mine as soon as we can catch him.

+1 on fear of nems for me

in a 2 month old tank , you do right not to add a anemone IMO
the clowns can live well enough without it IME and you spared yourself the ASAP posts
    when it goes walkabout.

EWW!!! did you see all that old mysis shrimp flying out when the clown started rubbing it?:p eww haha

as a matter of fact someone recommended me to go into the tank about every 2 weeks or so and give everything a nice little swoop. Just move your hand back and forth in front of all the corals and rocks. It gets all the crap out of them. Instead, the clownfish did :D but i recommend you do that its a nice little maintenance tip. Or just with a spare powerhead lying around.

Actually I had just introduced 2 new corals and the Clown. My tank is not normally that dirty.

I think a toadstool is a great host for a clown, they are very hardy and can stand more of a beating from the clown than some other more fragile corals like frogspawn that some clowns try to use. Only thing that would worry me in this case is that the toadstool isn't very big so hopefully the clown doesn't irritate it too much.

Anemones can move at any time sometimes for apparently no reason so I'm definitely with the "not reef safe" crew here. :)
