I could only wish my wife was as supportive, she loves to look at it,but really gets on my @&# when i need to buy something!!! But even if we had that kinda money, she's to chicken to put her hands in the water!! She really hates the bristle worms and is afraid of a sting! Maybe you should tell your wife about those!!LOL I wish the best of luck to ya!

One thing I didn't see mentioned is pests. It's always a good idea to run all new coral through a dip or two to get rid of any unwanted pests. I do an iodine and revive dip on all corals at the very minimum, all SPS go through an interceptor treatment. I also inspect every plug/rock etc for potential pests and remove anything I'm not familiar with.

Getting zoa eating nudibranches or something in on a coral because you didn't dip it can lead to lots of problems down the road and it's an easy preventative measure I would suggest looking into.

I would have a talk with the wife about the potential hazards of doing that in the future if that talk hasn't already been had, it could lead to serious problems if it continues. Good luck! :)

Thank you All for been so supportive. I have checked my parameters again this morning and I’m glad that the NO3 is going down around 15 now. I'm sure this ALGONE has something to do with it. I also have 50 gls of salted water ready just in case I need to do a big WC.

WOW thats alot of corals. It does look great though. Half the fun of a new tank is getting to stock it though, and that excitement is gone now.

lol... Everything looks pretty damn good.

I clicked on the picture of the tank without corals, and it looked good, like you had a great start. Then I clicked on the picture WITH the corals--

Glad to see it's working out for you.

This might the exception to the rule, but my clams have been with me through the thick of it. Two moves, Key West to Little Rock and back in a 5 gallon bucket with corals and a air stone running off a cigarette plug-in inverter.
But take that with a grain of salt, just FYI.
