    my test shows up as...

    amonia 0
    nitrate 20
    nitrite .5

I know the cycle isnt done yet..but will it be really really ridiculosly bad if i add some more hermit crabs?

    i have 1 clown, 1 damse, 1 hermit and 1 snail

possible scenario - Nitrites increase to a point where the clown cant tolerate it and the hermit lives but the clown dies

Mkizla , you have a young tank and as keen as you are to get it stocked, the only things that happens quickly in a reef tank are bad things ( apologies as I dont recall who I am quoting )

you have already got 1 more fish in there than I would have at this early stage of a smallish tank

take your time , you will benefit from the patience

i would of just let the water cycle before adding life in it. But this guy in craiglist had this set up for like 5 days and sold it to me for $130 for everything. Including 3 damsel 1 tang and 1 clown and i was like o_o

I sold the tang the day i bought the tank, i couldnt sell the 2 black stripped damsel, so i gave it to petco, and nobody would buy the clown or blue fin damsel, and it seemed kinda waste to give it away for free...? so i just kept it anyway ._.

thanks for your advice though =) i appreciate it. I guess waiting is only way to success.

    Mkizla, your welcome

if what you have is doing OK, thats great news
but as you say , taking your time with the next fish will be a great step in the right direction

get that Nitrite to 0 , thats number 1 priority at present before adding anything new
dont feed your fish more than once per day, some feed every other day only and some feed once in 3 days
and a water change 10% weekly will also help IMO
