Hey guy's I finally got my RSM 130D set back up after having it broken down for over 2 years, I got a fish need it 4x24 T5HO light for christmas and have a bio pellet reactor as well as 2 media reactors I still have to get setup as well as setting up a refugium and a few other misc pieces but those can wait for a bit as right now I just wanted to get the tank up and running so that I can transfer my frags from the 65 gallon reef that needs new bulbs over to this one since the frags I transferred were always intended for this tank

I picked up all of these frags locally after Christmas off of craigslist and paid under 70 dollars for all of the corals and 2 flower anemones you see

Just really setting this thread up as a progression journal so that you guys as well as myself can see the tank from beginning to the corals starting to grow and fill in

I used a few new pieces of live rock but grabed most of them from my already well established 65 gallon reef as well as 20 pounds of new live sand and 5 pounds of live sand from the 65 gallon so I dont expect there to be ANY cycle at all

Here are the first pics I have of the tank that I took today with my Iphone since my SLR is charging

Thank you, I've still got a few more pieces of premium live rock I'm gonna pick up once I get the money but it'll stay very similar "island type scape"
I only paid I think a total of 70 dollars or ther shouts for ALL of those coral frags and the 2 flower anemones
    Craigslist has some great prices

Hey guy's just wanted to show you some new pictures of the tank, The other day I added 3 blue leg hermits, 3 large scarlet hermits, 2 small peppermint shrimp since I had a few aiptasia and a SMALL mandarin who is doing great he is about 1-1 1/2" long and is a PIG, I have a small 10 gallon tank setup on the patio with some chaeto and a power head in it that I have been keeping pods in so every other day I take a net and scoop out a spoon full and dump them into the tank for him to eat, Plus he seems to like the frozen mysis shrimp as well, His stomach is seriously chunky LOL

he's very shy though even though he is the only fish in the tank so it is a bit hard to get a picture of him, I also added some new zoas "Red people eaters" and I got a sweet yellow/green ricordea

I plan to add 4-5 sexy shrimp in the tank as well as a nice flame goby or some type of fairy wrasse and I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a pair of c-quest Wyoming white clowns as I REALLY want to add a pair of them to the tank, but they seem to be impossible to find

I dont plan on adding any other fish, Maainly inverts and corals as I dont think this tank should really have more than 4 MAYBE 5 small fish at the most

THanks guys, I just added a ORA green long tentacle leather coral as well as two mushrooms, and a bright blue and neon red mushroom as well as a SMALL piece of pulsing xenia that WILL be kept isolated on a small piece of branch rock since even though I LOVE the way they look I know how badly they take over a tank as I had them take over 2 tanks at one point, this way the piece of branch they are on I can easily remove it if I have to and it will be easy to take cuttings from

    These are what I added
