I feed my rbta every 14 days a piece of shrimp, and it always sucks it right in. Today I dropped it on the nem and like always it sucked it right in... Or at least I thought it did... I left the room and came back to find a piece of shrimp floating... I tested water and what i tested for was spot on...is it possible the nem just wasn't hungry or could something be wrong? It looks fantastic and pretty as ever

As long as it looks healthy, I wouldn't worry about it. Just wait another week then try again.
