What are you using to check the salinity? 1.022 seems low for a LFS. It is possible your refractometer or hydrometer is off. I would be sure to calibrate whatever you are using to check salinity with by using a good calibration solution before changing anything.

NO.... i asked him ... he told me my salinity is 1.022 and temp 25 C
the idea that while iam setting up my tank i will make the same parameters as him .. to avoid any chance of stress .. ( iam using instant ocean needle hydrometer ) ????? what to u think?>

I think hyrdometers are not accurate and you should get a refractimeter that is too low for a marine aquarium IMO. Lowest I would go is 1.023. And 1.025 is better

It's actually a very common practice for an LFS to run their tanks salinity low as it discourages the infestation of ICH.

but don't set your tank to 1.022 to match the lfs, drip acclimate them back to 1.025

Stressing a fish with low salinity seems like a silly way to help avoid Ich but it wouldn't be the first LFS theory that makes me scratch my head.lol.
My LFS runs all tanks at 1.024.

Ive always heard fish introduced into a lower SG suffer less from stress, which is why the majority of LFS (at least USED to) keep their SG low. If you are having a Fish Only tank 1.022 is not terrible for fish, but with many inverts and especially coral that will be an issue.

Personally I try to keep my parameters as close to NSW as I can because, you know, I've been there and the ocean seems to do a good job of it.

Yup,my lfs stays at 1.021 for same said reasons.I just acclimate slowly.
