    I might go w/ carbon in few days. My tank is still cycling so not going to change water yet. No lights either.

    I would only run carbon for a few days.. I ran mine for 3 days every two weeks.. But I had a 12 gallon tank also...

    My ammonia is around 0.25-0.5. I still have my raw shrimp in there. Should I take it out by now? Leave it in and let it dissolve all the way? Any thoughts? Thanks.
