Yes the O/Brain did not eat it it just wound up with it.. You have an anemone in there anywhere ? The O/B has no way to sting and hold on to a fish that is at least 1/3rd alive..

No anemone.. O'well, at least the brain got fed.. Food for thought anyway... LOL... Your most likely right, unless the goby was sick and I didn't notice...

Yeah, I agree with Amcarrig and Tangster, I think that fish was dying or just ran into the OB when it had its tenticles out or something like that. If I were you, I would go out and buy a surveillance camera to watch the tank 24/7:hehe:
    Sorry for your loss dude.

I hired my out of work step-sisters husband to watch my tank. Cable tv and beer isn't a bad price for tank security.... LOL

    the carnivorous brain

i was just about to post a question about the brain... i have an open green one and i was gonna ask if i put it on the sand would my orange spotted goby throw sand all over it? Sorry about your lose. I know you aren't supposed to have it on rocks in case it gets cut but i am afraid it will get covered in sand on the ground. now I'm afraid it'll eat my goby and or snails?!?!
