My new return pump!

Is it metal or ceramic?

 

I dont know, i dont have an allen wrench that fits to take it apart and see. I may go to lowes later anyway and pick one up. It would suck but if it is a crappy shaft its not like it wont be made right. Its just not enuf of a reason for me to decide against it.

Aye, you didn't pay a nickel for it, so that's cool. I'd be curious to know all the same if you get around to it.

These R/D 6.5 pushes about 1800 gph drawing almost a amp of power and are quiet but take the Dolphin Amp master its just as quiet and moves 2700 GPH for the about the same or less even amperage draw and the 5600 Amp master pulls like 1.2 Amp's and also run so quietly that you have to feel them to see if they are running.. I was not criticizing or putting anything down . For what its worth I know a couple of other guy's who had issues with them in the last couple of yrs , since Bubble king sent them for their skimmers But all problems where made good as far as I know for the buyers Maybe they corrected the problems with the shafts and busings ? I was simply saying it would not have been my first choice .. But sense you are experienced with them you know the product as well as anyone. I was have nothing more to say hope its a great pump for you and I'm done , Signing off and out se'yall
