I think you should be ok with 1-2 pounds per gallon. I really do not think you should have 2 fish in that tank though. I know neither of them do a lot of swimming, but it is the bioload I would be worried about.

If your already looking to upgrade the lights maybe you should consider give your hands a try at building an ATS I know there are quite a feweasy & cheap designs out there for a nano.

ok so just today i was in the lfs and had like 10 bucks in my pocket, i wasnt planning on getting anything until i saw a cute little yellow tail damsel that isnt even a half inch long. i probably wont have him in the tank long term but hell help get things started. the tank has been cycling for 3 weeks so i thot it was about time to add a small starter fish.

by the way I think that a par 30 with a clamp over the tank would do you fine.

yeah thats what i was thinking, but most people dont like damsels just because they are agressive so if hes the only fish in the tank whats the problem right? i may get rid of him later on tho it was what you could call an impulse buy. hes so cute tho. i named him philip haha. yeah also i was thinking of getting the par30 with that lamp clamp thing that boostled sells as well. to look cleaner wrather than just a desk lamp
