Which means it isn't cycled. The nitrite still has to convert to nitrate. Then you do a WC wait a few more days and it will be cycled.

Pretty sure in the first post you stated that you got the tank TODAY. I think thats what caused all the confusion. Im also pretty sure a YTD is 30g minimum. Good luck all the same.

The fish may live, we don't doubt that.. Being that its a damsel, and they're hardy. The ammonia in the water will burn its gills, somewhat torturing the fish. With all your "experience", and you say you work at an LFS, you should no better. Come on now!

After all of the advice you give other people, you are cycling with a fish? lol. Shame on you. :-[ You should know better. Try a little patience.

The tank looks nice, btw. ;D

this is all unnecessary. did you guys not listen to me? i said the tank is cycled! half the water was from an established tank as well as all the sand. stop acting like i have no experience in this i would not cycle with a fish.

this is ruining my build thread and i would like it if you guys just wouldnt make comments like this. i know what i am doing and i am sure as heck the tank is entirely cycled. i could probably put a few shrooms and kenya trees in here right now and they would do great. you guys need to listen to me and believe me the tank is entirely cycled. i dont want to hear all the dissapointment crap because you guys have no reason to be dissapointed. all this is is a slight confusion.

I'm still confused...has the tank been set up for 2 weeks 4 days or 6 days? What are current params? I think this would help more than PMING me. Oh and does nitrite turn into nitrate or vice versa¿
