    and factoring in that 50 percent of the water came from a thriving reef tank at the lfs i work at and all the sand in the tank as well. this tank isnt entirely established for corals but its easily ready for a damsel

    haha sweet hes already eating after about 6 or so hours after introduction. hes showing no signs of stress and his colors are very vibrant. 1.0 ill get pics up asap its really late here

    as of today the damsel still is doing great, hes livelier than ever. and eating like a pig

    this thread is develping a bad case of 'but what really happened'

    even in your other thread you posted your tank was still cycling the day before you bought your fish. could add a fish and should add a fish in some cases are two different events, we've all made those not the best choice impulse buys before. relax and go with it, there is more tap dancing here than on dancing with the stars at the moment.

    haha ya i know this all looks bad, i have never bought a fish before a tank was ready for it and i never plan on doing it. this tank has been set up for 2 weeks and 4 days. i got the tank on the 5th of may. i got 50 percent of the water from the lfs i work at and the rest was newly mixed from instant ocean sea salt. all the sand also was from a thriving reef tank at my lfs. the tank went through a mini cycle the first week it was up, i added the rocks a couple days after the water.

    do you think i should get a skimmer for the tank or just do weekly water changes

    I think you should make sure your tank is cycled.
