My new 60x30x30 tank

This is awesome. I am really interested in the Arduino controller. Did you have to do the coding for that?

luckily some people over here have built them before and the code is open source so just amended the code for my use, As soon as i get mine built i will upload the code and all the links to the hardware.

To complete the build i need 6 heatsinks imported £130 there double over here
5 x 50w leds £30 each 2 x 36v 10amp psus £50 for the pair and the blue leds £10 each x 12 last thing the led drivers around £7 each might need around 9

 

All my tanks have been on a budget as i havent got 1000s to waste

I use to spend £20 on the sunsun powerheads, second hand skimmers the tmc v2 800, on the above tank external filter £70 and home made 8 x 54w t5 unit

I am living proof this can be done on a budget

The latest tank 60x30x30 was £100 for the glass and metal stand in fact this is what i have spent on the newist build and this is the most i have ever spend on a tank

That is awesome setup. Everything looks very healthy and happy in your tank. I can't wait to get mine going just a few more months.

 

I only have one of them left now, after the tank swap we tried as hard as we could to not stress the stock out but lost, Scooter blenny, 4 chromis, firefish, anthia, yellow wrasse jumped out a little to many times the sod found him out of the tank 6 times the 6th he was out for around 1 hour never recovered

But then got the lipstick tang and the emperor tang they are big love them to bits, The emperor makes noises to warn other fish off, i was going mad at first thought it was a pump vibrating on the glass as all the stand and tank would vibrate now and again it sounds like some ones knocking at the door, hes worse on a night

There previous owner had them in a 1600ltr tank they take food from your fingers, I got them off Eric the chap who helped build my new tank so its kind of good he can still see them now and again and he knows there well looked after

Measured up the other day and worked out the back wall is 13ft long before i even got a word out the wife said dont even bloody think about it think she knows me a little to well now bless her
